Swim skirt

Problem

It was the time when rash guards were the huge trend in Korea. They sold like crazy. It was the best time you could ask for.

That was when a problem came up with the bottoms. It was a swim skirt. When you make a piece like this, you must count the shrinkage and cut the fabric to fit it. They did not count it.

It was a short style, so the mistake mattered even more.

A skirt is supposed to cover the bottoms. These came up to the middle of the hips. A very large number of pieces were cut this way.

How I found out

We saw it in the finished pieces.

What we did

Because it was the factory's fault, the pieces were sold off as scrap, almost by the kilogram, and we made them again. This factory made a huge amount every day. In just a few days, a huge number of pieces were thrown away. What can you do? It was their mistake. The whole lot was scrapped and remade.

Then the real problem became delivery time. Making a new lot sounds simple. But in sewing, fabric and trims always get delayed. So the factory and we both ran around like crazy.

Result

Luckily, delivery was fine and the product was fine. The customer did not even know this happened. It was our job, so we took responsibility and finished it.
