Dawn Sourcing (operated by GD TRADE) is an OEM clothing production agent in Yiwu, China, that makes custom clothing for apparel brands. Every price is one all-in unit price per style — goods, inspection and our management, plus freight and import duty for DDP — samples start at about $30, and bulk production takes about one month.
We are not a factory. We work with partner factories and manage every step for you: finding the fabric, making the samples, visiting the factory during production, and checking every piece before it ships. We focus on tops and pants, and also make swimwear, pajamas, socks and merch.
It depends on the garment, the fabric and the quantity, so we price each style on its own. Send a photo, a sample or a tech pack with a rough quantity and you get an exact unit price within one business day, before anything is made.
What moves the price: the fabric weight and composition, whether the fabric is stock or made for you, prints, embroidery and special trims, the number of colors and sizes, and the order quantity. Simple cotton basics cost the least; heavier fabric and more complex construction cost more.
Every quote is one all-in unit price: the goods, inspection of every piece and our management. With DDP it also covers sea freight, import duty and port fees to your door. Our fee sits inside the unit price: no commission on order value, no retainer. How that compares with agents who charge a percentage is on China sourcing agent fees.
Samples start at about $30 (200 RMB) per style. The price goes up with harder fabric and more complex construction. First style with us: an indicative price and a free sample — ask for it here.
It depends on the fabric, colors and sizes. Factories run best when they cut your own fabric in volume, so send us the style and a rough quantity and we will tell you the minimum for that product before you pay for anything.
What moves the minimum: whether the fabric is a stock fabric or made for you, how many colors and sizes you need, and decoration such as custom dyeing, prints or embroidery. Styles made from stock fabric can start lower; fabric dyed or knitted to your spec needs more volume.
Yes. We ship DDP, delivered to your address with duty and freight paid; CIF, with sea freight and insurance paid to your port; or FOB, handed to your own forwarder at the port in China. Which terms fit depends on your country, and we confirm them in your quote.
For US brands we have produced merchandise for a well-known K-pop act and are currently producing socks and pajamas. Client names stay private.
The four inspection checkpoints inside those steps — incoming material, in-process, final and pre-dispatch — are set out on Quality Control, and an anonymized report from one of them is on a real QC report.
Most problems do not start at the end. They start in the middle, when a factory runs into a quality issue and quietly moves your order down the list. That is when delivery dates slip.
So we go to the factory at least three times:
What those visits look like, in photographs from the floor: Factory Visits.
One customer had ordered the same pants in China three times before coming to us. All three orders went wrong. Their first order with us was 42,000 pairs of pants. After visiting the factory and our warehouse in Yiwu, they placed a second order for 200,000 pairs.
Dawn Sourcing is run by Fred Lee, CEO of GD TRADE. From 2016 he bought and resold product in Korea — online and off — which is how he learned what a buyer is actually afraid of. He works with Moonhak Kim, GD TRADE's director, who has been running production in Chinese factories since 2003.
From May to July 2026, we produced and shipped 350,000 pieces of clothing. We have shipped to Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.

About $30 (200 RMB) per style for a simple garment. Harder fabric and more complex construction cost more. You approve the sample price before we make it.
Yes. We quote DDP, delivered to your address with duty and freight included, CIF to your port, or FOB at the Chinese port for your own forwarder, depending on your country.
Most of the time goes into fabric and trims, not sewing. If the fabric is in stock and the sample needs no special trims, it can be ready in about 3 days. If the fabric has to be found or made, that takes about 5 to 10 days, including delivery. Trims such as zippers, buttons, snaps, labels, embroidery patches, lace, drawcords, and elastic also take about 5 to 10 days. So most samples take at least 2 weeks. For complex products, plan for about one month. While you wait, we tell you which step the sample is at, why it is waiting, and how long each part will take.
Usually about one month after the final sample set is approved.
You pay a 30% deposit after you approve the sample. You pay the balance after we check every piece and confirm the final count. Goods leave China only after full payment.
Our partner factories can support social compliance audits such as BSCI and Sedex when your brand needs them.
